The GD Division Outstanding ECS Award recipient, Sia Ghelichkhan, will give a talk on Digital Twins of Earth’s Mantle: Adjoint Inverse Approaches for Reconstructing Mantle Dynamics

Short Courses

There are 62 short courses running at this year’s General Assembly. These courses provide an interactive forum to learn more about a specific topic and improve soft skills. In particular,  if you are interested in extending your knowledge of another discipline, consider attending a 101 short course. Some of the GD-related courses spotted in the program are:

Your Scientific Programme

The EGU26 app is available on iOS and Android. This app allows attendees to create a personal programme for the General Assembly. You’ll be able to highlight specific talks and entire sessions that are relevant to your research. Don’t forget to check out the union-wide, community-led and interdisciplinary sessions. Here are just a few highlights from these categories:

She is a postdoctoral researcher at University of Plymouth (UK). Her research interests spans from the role of fault networks with complex geometries in earthquake processes to the link of the lithospheric structure with observed seismic deformation. She is the editor-in-chief of the EGU Geodynamics blog.

Garima Shukla is a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Geomagnetism (IIG), Navi Mumbai. She recently completed her PhD at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal. Her research explores the origin and emplacement mechanisms of the Pachmarhi dyke swarms within the Deccan Continental Flood Basalt province, using rock magnetic and paleomagnetic analyses to also infer the depth of the underlying magma feeder chambers.
