Dr. Sunil P. S.

Subsequently serving as a Scientist (Research Professor) at the Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, Mumbai, Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India from 2000 to 2018, Dr. P.S. Sunil (former HoD), currently serves as an Asso. Professor & Chairman Board of Studies in the Dept. of Marine Geology & Geophysics, CUSAT. He has received his M.Sc. (Tech) & Ph.D. Degrees in Marine Geophysics from CUSAT during the years 1998 & 2007 respectively. During 2009 & 2011 he was a Visiting Scientist/Post-Doctoral Fellow at Kyoto University, Japan, and the University of Nevada, USA respectively. He also receives JSPS Exchange Program Fellowship from Kyoto University, JAPAN, and BOYSCAST Fellowship from DST, Govt. of India. Under his guidance, 2 Ph.D. theses have been completed. He has published ~40 research articles in international journals and serves as a PI for 4 projects funded by DST-SERB & ISRO-SAC. He has also been a Member of Indian Antarctic & Arctic Expeditions, 2 & 4 times respectively.
