Phoebe Sleath

Phoebe Sleath is an artist and final year Geology PhD student at the University of Aberdeen with the GeoNetZero CDT. She is interested in geological interpretation - mainly as outcrop sketching - and how we communicate our understanding of fold-thrust structures through terminology and illustrations. Outside of research she is passionate about Scottish geology and landscape, a qualified Summer Mountain Leader, Winter Mountain Leader Trainee and Rock-Climbing Instructor Trainee. Phoebe’s art and geology work has been supported by the Geologist Association’s Curry Fund, the Geology Society, the Scottish Mountaineering Press, the History of Geology Group, the John Muir Trust, the Scottish Centre for Geopoetics and the Scottish Geology Trust.
