Steven Paton

MSc, Physical Monitoring Program Director, Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI), Panama Paton has worked at STRI since 1991. Beginning in 1993, he has led STRI’s terrestrial climate and hydrological monitoring program. Beginning in 2008 he also assumed responsibility of STRI’s physical oceanographic monitoring program as well. Currently, he also leads research studying the long-term effects of major climate impacts on mangrove forests in Panama.
