Nandita Basu

Nandita Basu is a Professor and a Tier I Canada Research Chair in Water Sustainability at the University of Waterloo, Canada. Nandita served as Editor-in-Chief at the Journal of Hydrology from 2020 - 2025. Nandita’s research combines big data, modeling, and stakeholder engagement to design nature-based solutions that link agricultural resilience with water quality, climate mitigation, and planetary health.
