The EGU General Assembly is around the corner, and we would like to advertise the events the Early-Career Scientist (ECS) Team of our Division have been preparing to create networking opportunities for ECSs.
Solar-Terrestrial ECS Drinks: preGA Icebreaker
Get-together for all ST ECSs before the opening reception. We’re meeting up at 15:00 hours in front of the entrance of the name badges collection area. From there and if the weather allows, we move to Copa Beach (near the venue). Later we join the opening reception. Feel free to bring your drinks and snacks. There is also an option to buy drinks at Copa Beach.

Solar-Terrestrial ECS Picnic
Join the ST ECSs community for an informal lunch to get to know other fellows, network, get tips for a successful week, and mingle with some experts. For those in multidisciplinary topics, there will be an option to interact with EMRP and PS ECSs. In case of good weather, the picnic will be at Donaupark. In case of bad weather, the picnic will be at the EGU networking zone (Suite C). In any case we will meet at the X4 foyer at 12:30 where you can identify us by a sign. Please be on time and remember to bring your own lunch (and maybe a small mat to use in the park).

Solar-Terrestrial ECS Dinner
Join the ST ECSs dinner to connect with other ST researchers attending EGU. We’ll meet at the X4 foyer at 18:15 and make our way to the inner city for dinner. Due to limited availability, we kindly ask you to register for the dinner (first-come-first-served basis). Please note that dinner will be at your own expense.

During the General Assembly week, we encourage you to make use of the Slack workspace (if you are not part of it and wish to be added, email ecs-st@egu.eu) to continue discussions with your peers, share your science, network. We will also aim at posting each evening a list of the events relevant to the ST Division and to ECSs scheduled for the next day, to help you decide which sessions you want to attend.
