Dr. Li-Qing (Liqing) Jiang is an oceanographer specializing in the study of inorganic carbon cycling and ocean acidification, with particular emphasis on data management, quality control, synthesis, and the development of global and coastal oceanographic data products. He is the founding architect of the NOAA Ocean Carbon and Acidification Data System (OCADS) and currently serves as its project lead. Dr. Jiang is also a Visiting Scholar in the Geosciences Research Division at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, in addition to his affiliations with UMD and NCEI.
