Registration for the EGU 2014 General Assembly is open!

The EGU General Assembly brings together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting that covers all disciplines of the Earth, planetary and space sciences. This year, the conference will have a theme: The Face of the Earth. Much like a human face, our planet exhibits a huge diversity of shapes and forms. This theme aims to celebrate that diversity in geoscience processes – from the core of the Earth to interplanetary space.

EGU 2014 will be held in Vienna from 27 April – 2 May 2014, where established scientists and early career researchers alike will be able to present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of the geosciences.

Early registration for the conference is open until 31 March 2014 – you can register online on the General Assembly website. Note that EGU members benefit from reduced member rates; to become a member, go to www.egu.eu/membership/, where you can both become a new member, or renew your EGU membership.

You can get a feel for the great geoscience that will be discussed at the meeting by browsing through the EGU 2014 sessions. Clicking on ‘please select’ will allow you to search for sessions by Programme Group, where you will be able to view the sessions in more detail and submit an abstract to its relevant session. Abstract submission is open until 16 January 2014 (13:00 CET).
