It’s this time of the year again when we all meet up in Vienna and talk about our latest scientific results and, more importantly, network with old and new colleagues. The EGU General Assembly (GA) EGU26 will take place again in a hybrid format. The scientific programme consists, as usual, of oral and poster presentations, Pico sessions, networking opportunities, and short courses. All scientific sessions and most short courses will be accessible online as well. The GA provides ample opportunities for informal exchange, especially for Early Career Scientists (ECS). This is a great way to extend your network.
With only a few days left before the start of EGU26, and as the number of parallel sessions can be quite overwhelming, we want to give you a brief overview of Geodesy division-related events during the upcoming conference to help you find your bearings and make the most of your EGU experience. In the following we summarize Highlighted Division Events, Networking Events and Short Courses and Lectures that we recommend having an eye out for. This list is far from exhaustive, so watch out and spread the word on any interesting sessions you might find.
Highlighted Division Events

The meeting is meant to give you a preview of the EGU 2026, and to communicate the activities and plans of EGU’s Geodesy team, it furthermore has a formal function in line with the EGU by-laws. Everyone with a Copernicus ID can participate, also without registration for the GA. Afterwards, The Geodesy Division Team will stay online a bit longer in case you want to ask questions or make suggestions to the Geodesy Division Team.
