Each year EGU presents several keynote sessions called the Union Symposia and Great Debates. These Union-wide events are carefully selected each year to cover topics that are of broad interest to our members, regardless of which Division or field of Geoscience they most closely associate with.
With the exception of GDB1, all the Great Debates and Union Symposia will take place in week one of vEGU21, between Monday 19 April and Friday 23 April, so you will be able to set aside plenty of time to join them live, or watch them on-demand after they have streamed. All keynote sessions will be hosted using Zoom and you will have a choice as to whether you watch them streamed directly to the Virtual Conference Centre, or directly through the Zoom platform.
You will also be able to access the Union Symposia or Great Debates via either the Virtual Conference Centre, or the vEGU21 Programme, whichever is easiest for you. To make things easier for you though we have collected all the direct programme links to all our keynote sessions here in this post, so sit back, grab a cuppa and pick which keynote events YOU want to tune into, to get you started gathering with us online in 2021!
