Meet the Experts: The future of solar terrestrial research

An infographic giving details of the Meet the Experts session for the Solar Terrestiral division of #vEGU_21

Every year at the EGU General Assembly renowned experts from the field of Solar-Terrestrial research get together to give inspirational talks and to meet with early career scientists. This year’s “Meet the Experts” session is focusing on the future of solar terrestrial research. To think of the future, we first have a look at the past, and more precisely on the knowledge acquired with over half a century of ground based and spaceborne observations. We will learn about the advances in numerical modelling. And what unanswered questions are awaiting for the young minds to address. Our experts are Prof. Kalevi Mursula from University of Oulu, Finland, Prof. Minna Palmroth from University of Helsinki, Finland, Dr. Christine Gabrielse from Aerospace/UCLA, USA, and Prof. Craig Rodger from University of Otago, New Zealand. Each will give a 10 min talk and a Q&A session will follow. The event will be held on Zoom this Friday the 23rd April at 10:00 CEST, and the link will become available shortly before its starting time via the session description page: https://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU21/session/38921.
