Manuel Pimenta Silva

Manuel is a PhD student on experimental petrologist at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zürich). He studies cumulate melting in shallow arc systems by combining field observations in outcropping paleo-conduits and analytical petrology on natural samples, with high temperature and pressure experiments. He still enjoys the ocasional Hf isotope session to study Archaean crust generation in the Kaapvaal craton.
