After a short winter break, the Geochemistry, Mineralogy, Petrology and Volcanology division’s early career scientists talks (EGU campfires) are back! The first session in 2022 (and 16th overall) will be a general format event.
The talks will be held on
Wednesday 16th February at 4pm CET on Zoom.
Our four speakers are:
Barbara Bonechi (PostDoc @ Sapienza University of Rome, Italy) – High pressure experiments on kinetic and rheological properties of primitive alkaline magmas: constraints on deep magmatic processes at the Campi Flegrei Volcanic District.
Catherine Crotty (Ph.D. Student @ McGill University, Canada) – Experimentally determining fluid-mineral trace element partitioning at hydrothermal conditions.
Eric Newland (Ph.D. Student @ University of Cambridge, UK) – Dynamics of deep-submarine explosive eruptions.
Cindy Luisier (PostDoc @ Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany) – Stress and pressure perturbations due to fluid saturation heterogeneities: a combined petrological and thermo-mechanical study based on the Gran Paradiso Unit, Western Alps.
