2021 was yet another year of uncertainty, with many changes and disruptions to our plans, activities, and goals. A wide variety of webinar sessions were streamed during EGU 2020’s Sharing Geoscience Online, including all of the Great Debates and Union Symposia. The sessions were very well attended, with some sessions having over 700 participants. Our members come from all over the globe to attend the EGU General Assembly. By providing support through EGU2020: Sharing Geoscience Online this year we hope that many of these will still be able to share their innovative and exciting research together.

On 19 March EGU announced that it has cancelled the physical EGU General Assembly 2020 in Vienna, Austria.
