Last week saw the world’s leaders come together in Paris for the 21st ‘Conference of the Parties’ (aka COP21) to discuss climate change. The picture was taken at a hillslope close to the glacier tongue of the Great Aletsch Glacier, the largest glacier in the Alps. The Annapurna massif is located in an imposing 55 km long collection of peaks in the Himalayas, which behave as a single structural block.
