Have your say in the Early Career Scientist survey!

Have your say in the Early Career Scientist survey!

Are you an Early Career Scientist (ECS) who is also a member of the European Geosciences Union? Have your say and provide feedback on ECS activities and opportunities by completing the EGU Early Career Scientist survey!

The short, 5-minute survey asks what ECS activities you are aware of, how the Union can better support you, and how you would prefer to be contacted. Answers will be sent to your ECS representatives, who ensure that the voice of the ECS community is heard within the Union. Your answers will help the Union and its ECS representatives understand what opportunities are relevant and of interest to its ECS community.

Keep up-to-date with ECS initiatives:

In the meantime, receive information on opportunities and initiatives for the ECS and more by signing up to the monthly EGU newsletter.

For updates on ECS activities organised by your scientific division, EGU members can sign up to their scientific division’s general or ECS-specific mailing list.

Check out the EGU blogs for updates and other features, especially from your division’s blog.

Divisions also host online peer-to-peer, seminar-style “campfire” events, whilst regular EGU webinars provide a platform for discussion and free training. See all upcoming webinars and online events here.

For information on ECS opportunities at the EGU General Assembly, please visit the ECS at the General Assembly webpage.

Contact your ECS representative

To find out about how your scientific division is supporting its ECS members, or how to volunteer with a division, contact the current division ECS representative or division president for your chosen division(s).

For activities relating cross-cutting topics relevant throughout the Union, or to find out more about the Union-level ECS representative role and how they represent ECS in the Union’s decision-making, contact the current Union-level ECS representative or deputy Union-level ECS representative.
