Meriel Bittner

Meriel J. Bittner is a Postdoc at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in microbial ecology, combining chemical and molecular microbial tools to explore microorganisms and their impact on biogeochemical cycles. Previously in her PhD at the University of Copenhagen, she studied the effects of B vitamins as micronutrients on the marine ecosystem. Meriel holds a MSc degree in Ecology and Ecosystems from the University of Vienna, where she was involved in deep sea research. Her interests include marine biogeochemistry and microbiology.
