Call for new blog editors!

Call for new blog editors!

The Geochemistry, Mineralogy, Petrology and Volcanology division of the European Geosciences Union is looking for two new blog writers that can join our team! We are a group of 16 early career scientists, coming from all over the world, and with different backgrounds. If you wanna know more about our team, and what we do during the year, have a look here!

We are looking for individuals that like science communication, that are passionate about their subjects and thus would be willing to share their insights by publishing in our blog. You can contribute in many ways, writing about curiosities, interviews, published papers or just your experiences as an ECS.

Check our blog here: https://blogs.egu.eu/divisions/gmpv/

Being part of the blog team is a great experience. You will have the opportunity to interact with scientists from all over the world, to be part of a group of enthusiastic GMPV ECS, and to have your texts/posts viewed by the GMPV community. Applications will be discussed and assessed by the current blog editor-in-chief (Inês Pereira) and the GMPV ECS Rep (Simona Gabrielli).

The deadline for applications is the 15th of November, and we will be reviewing applications during that week.
Please apply by filling in this form.

I am a Research Fellow, working on improving petrogeochemical tools using accessory minerals such as titanite and rutile. I am interested to develop tools that allow us to assess metamorphic conditions from detrital minerals and improve our understanding on the evolution of crustal geothermal gradients through time. I love books. I love nature. I love Earth Sciences.

Simona Gabrielli is a geophysicist working on attenuation tomography and surficial geology interactions in volcanic settings (e.g. Mount St. Helens)
