Leah Sophie Muhle

Leah Sophie Muhle is a PhD student at the University of Tübingen, Germany. She works on improving the inference of englacial temperature and basal reflectivity from radar measurements by coupling radar forward modelling with machine learning methods such as simulation-based inference. This could allow for a better characterization of the basal and thermal state of Antarctica’s ice sheet and improve projections of the ice sheet’s future evolution.
