Janina Bösken

After my studies in Georesource Management (RWTH Aachen University, Germany) and Earth Science (University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands), I decided to work in the field of paleoclimatology, the study of past climate. I finished my PhD thesis on luminescence dating and paleoenvironmental conditions in SE Europe in 2017 and continue now in the same project as postdoc. In this “Our Way to Europe” project we investigate how modern humans first came to Europe and how the climatic and environmental conditions influenced this.
