Laynara F. Lugli

Dr Laynara F. Lugli is a postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Munich as part of the Amazon-FLUX project. She also collaborates with the AFEX and AmazonFACE projects and with the National Institute of Amazonian Research in Manaus, Brazil. Her main interests are on how plants can adapt to a changing climate (e.g., increasing CO2, nutrient limitation, drought) from the belowground perspective, using roots and soils to understand nutrient cycling and ecosystem functioning. Her work involves fieldwork in different parts of Central Amazon, both on natural forests and large-scale manipulation experiments.
