These two images show an Icelandic geyser when calm (top) and then when ‘erupting’ (Bottom). Historical reports associate increased activity in the geysers with earthquakes.

  1. I visited Iceland earlier this year and took a tour of the volcanic areas around Reykjavik. It was fascinating (and beautiful).
