Shreya Arora

Shreya Arora, is a post-doc at the Geological Survey of Japan, AIST Tsukuba. Her expertise lies in Paleoseismology and Active Tectonics. She has extensively worked along the Himalayas, and currently she is working along the surface rupture of 1896 M7.2 Rikuu earthquake in northeast Japan. She uses variety of state-of-the-art techniques such as high-resolution satellite/aerial photographs, drone/RTK, and LiDAR DEM’s to identify the active faults followed by seismic/borehole data analysis and trench investigations to carry out the seismic hazard assessment.
