Simon Turner

Dr. Simon Turner is a geoscientist working on stratigraphic records of human activity. He is a Senior Research Associate in Geography at University College London. Simon is scientific coordinator for the transdisciplinary project ‘Earth Indices: Evidence and Experiment’ developed by the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW, Berlin) and Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (MPIWG, Berlin), in collaboration with the Anthropocene Working Group (AWG), to define and explore the Anthropocene epoch. He is a member and the current secretary of the AWG.
