Mafalda Miranda

Mafalda Miranda is a Geothermal Geoscientist and Early Career Research, co- founder of GRAnalytics Lda, a consulting company in the field of geoenergy and remote sensing. She holds a bachelor's degree in Geology (2007-2012) and a master's degree in Geosciences (2012-2014) from the University of Coimbra (Portugal) and a PhD in Earth Sciences (2017-2021) from the Institut national de la recherche scientifique (Canada). Since her master's degree, Mafalda has been conducting research on deep geothermal energy, and her doctoral and postdoctoral projects were focused on geothermal resources for the energy transition of Indigenous communities in northern Canada. Outreach initiatives are something Mafalda is familiar with, and having the opportunity to bring EGU Geoscience Day to Portugal was fantastic news!
